The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
As a 3D Designer you will be responsible for generating engineering drawings suitable to manufacture lifesaving equipment. You will be working with project managers, manufacturing and assembly areas in generating drawings fit for purpose and right first time.
- Generating engineering concise drawings from CAD models.
- Producing, modifying and updating 3D models, detail and assembly engineering drawings in-line with approved engineering change requests and fully document the changes using engineering change notices.
- Produce designs against requirements with consideration to cost, quality, schedule, risk, Design for Manufacture/Assembly (DFM/DFA) & human factors.
- Liaising directly with Production Engineering Department to ensure datum and tolerance schemes are aligned with Design, Manufacturing, and Inspection requirements.
- Use of Siemens NX and Teamcenter 11 for data control.
Qualifications required:
- HNC, HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Engineering Apprenticeship.
Skills required:
- 3D CAD modelling.
- Siemens NX 12 & Teamcenter 11 or similar 3D CAD.
- Knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 drawing standards.
- SAP or similar ERP MRP system.
