The Associate, Commercial Strategy & Analytics will play a pivotal role in driving forward the ATP Tour's long-term strategic plan and improving collaboration across the wider tennis ecosystem. The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy & Analytics, but will work with teams across the organisation and ATP's affiliated companies, ATP Media and Tennis Data Innovations (TDI). The position is based in London to optimise coordination and workflow with key stakeholders but will work remotely with teams based around the world. There may be limited travel required.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Work with other members of the S&A team to drive key initiatives that support the implementation of the ATP's strategic plan
- Support the annual Business and Financial planning cycle
- Collaborate with other teams at the ATP and ATP's affiliated companies
- Develop a strong understanding of technical, cross-departmental initiatives
- Support and take ownership of complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Lead and support the creation and delivery of high-level presentations for internal & external audiences
- Perform data analysis and financial modelling to drive data-driven decision making and business planning
- Support the creation, refinement and execution of strategies and long-term goals (both internal facing and external)
- Conduct ad-hoc research & analysis to support key strategic decisions
- Other responsibilities as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrable experience delivering complex analytical and strategic work within strategy consulting (management consultancy or internal strategy) or investment banking environments.
- Experience of managing projects end-to-end, demonstrating an ability to liaise with senior stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills, able to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities
- Strong numeracy skills, with the ability to understand & interrogate key financial statements
- Ability to create & deliver presentations to communicate proposals to senior management
- Advanced knowledge and experience of building Excel-based financial models
- Comfortable working with legal documents
- Ability to distill large amounts of information into logical & succinct recommendations
- Experience in the sports, media & entertainment sector is advantageous
- Adept at quickly coming up to speed with new topic areas
Work Schedule
Full-time, 48 hours a week. Schedule rotates due to demands of tennis calendar.
