Your department produces low volume, high value, high precision aerospace components on a range of 2, 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machines up to 10 micron tolerances.
To achieve this difficult and challenging task, you'll be managing 6 team leaders who in turn have over 70 skilled setter operator specialists producing prototype and production components to world class engineering standards.
Your background is managing people in a CNC workshop including performance improvement, reviews, appraisals, disciplinaries and driving through change. Some of the staff are long-standing CNC experts so experience in changing staff habits is vital.
There is a significant level of retirements expected so succession planning, effective decision making in recruitment and implementing skills transfer and training plans is important.
You'll be working on a daytime shift pattern 7 on 7 off, 7am to 5pm.
