As a 3D Designer, you'll be responsible for generating engineering drawings suitable for manufacturing lifesaving equipment. You'll be working with project managers, manufacturing, and assembly areas in generating drawings fit for purpose and right first time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Generating engineering concise drawings from CAD models.
  • Producing, modifying, and updating 3D models, detail and assembly engineering drawings in line with approved engineering change requests and fully documenting the changes using engineering change notices.
  • Producing designs against requirements with consideration to cost, quality, schedule, risk, Design for Manufacture/Assembly (DFM/DFA), and human factors.
  • Liaising directly with the Production Engineering Department to ensure datum and tolerance schemes are aligned with Design, Manufacturing, and Inspection requirements.
  • Using Siemens NX and Teamcenter 11 for data control.

Qualifications required:

  • HNC, HND, or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Engineering Apprenticeship.

Skills required:

  • 3D CAD modelling.
  • Siemens NX 12 & Teamcenter 11 or similar 3D CAD.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 drawing standards.
  • SAP or similar ERP MRP system.
