Job Description
ATP Media was formed in 2001 and has unrivalled access and expertise in broadcast production of Men’s professional tennis with an end-to-end solution for global broadcasters incorporating rights sales, multi-platform production and worldwide delivery for the ATP Masters 1000s, ATP 500s, ATP 250s, season-ending Nitto ATP Finals, and Next Gen ATP Finals tournaments.
Join the biggest tennis production company in the world and help us to deliver broadcast content to our rights holders and broadcast partners. Collaborating with our suppliers and broadcasters, we are looking to hire a Broadcast Transmission Manager to work in a team of four providing support in all aspects of transmission and bookings.
Role Purpose
The Broadcast Transmission Manager plays a central role within the Broadcast Operations Team, ensuring the seamless delivery of ATP tournaments to global broadcasters. This role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and live monitoring of broadcast transmission services, including contribution and distribution across fibre, IP, and other delivery platforms.
Working closely with internal production teams, technology departments, and global rights holders, the Broadcast Transmission Manager ensures that all broadcast requirements are met to the highest technical and operational standards. This involves managing supplier bookings, troubleshooting live transmission issues, maintaining accurate technical records, and providing timely updates and support to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
The role requires strong technical knowledge of contribution and distribution workflows, experience in live broadcast operations, and the ability to coordinate complex transmission schedules across multiple tournaments worldwide. Operating across both planning (Wimbledon) and live operations (White City), the Broadcast Transmission Manager ensures reliable, efficient, and professional broadcast delivery for ATP Masters 1000, ATP 500, ATP 250 tournaments, as well as the Next Gen ATP Finals and Nitto ATP Finals.
Office-based: Wimbledon
- Work closely with the Broadcast Operations Team to plan and coordinate all ATP Masters 1000, ATP 500, and ATP 250 tournaments, as well as the Next Gen ATP Finals and Nitto ATP Finals.
- Support the Broadcast Operations Team in delivering contribution and distribution services for our in-house production team and global rights-holders.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers to arrange bookings for contribution and distribution via satellite, fibre, BT Tower, and SRT.
- Provide post-tournament support for the Broadcast Operations Team, ensuring timely responses to rights-holders and managing day-to-day tasks such as media portal access.
Live Broadcast Operations: White City
- Live monitoring of contribution and distribution services for ATP250s, ATP 500s, Masters 1000s, and ATP Finals.
- Route contribution and distribution feeds as required, ensuring smooth transmission operations from the Broadcast Operations Helpdesk.
- Maintain accurate logs, timings, technical reports, and documentation on activities, issues, and equipment.
- Liaise effectively with internal production, engineering, and operational teams, while proactively identifying and resolving operational and technical issues.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for signals and transmission paths, assisting other teams and global rights holders.
- Act as a key contact on the Broadcast Operations Helpdesk for bookings, cancellations, and failures.
- Supply broadcasters with up-to-date schedules, orders of play, distribution details, and live updates via the ATP Media Portal.
- Be confident in video and audio monitoring, proficient with talkback, and demonstrate professional etiquette.
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contribution and distribution workflows, including satellite, fibre, IP (SRT/Zixi), and BT Tower delivery, with proven experience in live broadcast operations. They should be confident monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving transmission issues under pressure, as well as coordinating bookings and managing complex broadcast schedules across multiple events. Familiarity with video and audio monitoring, talkback systems, and broadcast signal routing is essential, along with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
This role would suit someone with prior experience in broadcast operations, bookings coordination, and live feed monitoring, ideally within a live sports environment. The successful candidate will be calm and decisive under pressure, an effective communicator, and adaptable to a variety of tasks within a small, dynamic company. Strong IT skills, a proactive mindset, and flexibility are essential, as the London Hub element of the role requires shift work including evenings, weekends, and overnight coverage. The role is dual location, split between our Wimbledon Head Office and Live Broadcast Operations at our London Hub, offering the opportunity to play a key role in delivering world-class tennis coverage to global broadcasters.
A clean driving license is recommended.
