Role OverviewThe Lead System Architect (LSA) will own the overall Pega solution architecture, translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable designs, and provide hands-on technical leadership to Pega development teams. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to ensure solutions meet architectural, security, performance, integration, and operational requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end architecture and technical design of Pega applications. Lead solution design across case management, workflows, data models, integrations, security, and user experience. Define application architecture, reusable components, enterprise design patterns, and implementation standards. Review solution designs and implementation approaches to ensure compliance with Pega guardrails and engineering best practices. Lead complex technical design decisions and resolve architecture and performance challenges. Design scalable integration patterns using REST APIs, services, connectors, data pages, messaging, and enterprise integration technologies. Define appropriate authentication, authorization, access control, and security architecture. Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, availability, resilience, security, and maintainability. Establish appropriate application monitoring, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting approaches. Define DevOps, CI/CD, branching, deployment, and release management approaches for Pega applications. Support production readiness, deployment planning, and technical assurance activities. Translate business requirements into appropriate Pega architecture and technical solutions. Lead technical workshops and communicate architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Support estimation, delivery planning, technical risk management, and dependency management. Deep knowledge of Pega case management, application architecture, data modelling, and integration. Strong understanding of Pega application design principles, guardrails, and reusable architecture. Strong knowledge of Pega performance optimisation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Experience with Pega DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and enterprise deployment approaches. Experience delivering solutions within Agile/Scrum environments. Ability to lead multiple Pega development teams and provide architecture governance across workstreams. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills. Ability to explain complex architecture decisions to senior business and technology stakeholders.
