As CTO for the Digital Business Line, you define and drive the technical vision and transformation agenda. You align client needs with technology strategy, ensuring secure, scalable delivery of AI-enabled solutions. You lead engineering evolution from SDLC to a product/service mindset and shape technical business development with strategic clients. You work with global teams to harmonize architecture, governance, and delivery across major programs. Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver the BL transformation vision, integrating product lifecycle management and AI into the operating model
- Lead engagements with Global BL and Geo technology teams for coordinated transformation execution
- Evolve engineering delivery from traditional SDLC to a product/service-oriented capability
- Serve as senior technical advisor to strategic clients on Digital Applications services
- Position the BL as a leader in AI-enabled SDLC services with Industry teams and customers
- Provide technical leadership across bids and proposals aligning with modern software engineering and product delivery
- Partner with presales to support business development and integrate new service offers into the Digital portfolio
- Define and maintain enterprise technology strategy for SDLC and AI platforms
- Establish architectural standards and governance for security, scalability, and consistency
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide strategic recommendations aligned with policy and legislation
- Lead and develop high-performing engineering teams and foster cross-functional collaboration
- Oversee technical delivery across major programs ensuring architectural standards and quality
- Lead gated approval processes across solution design, implementation, and deployment
Key requirements
- Deep knowledge of AI and its application in transforming SDLC practices
- Expert understanding of product lifecycle management and full-stack engineering
- Influencing senior stakeholders, including C-suite and business line leadership
- Eligibility for, or holding, UK Security Clearance (SC)
- Experience representing organisations at industry events and contributing to thought leadership
- Ability to collaborate with partners, suppliers, and SMEs to drive innovation and growth
