Role Overview
The role requires a DevOps engineer with experience in both technical and IT operations, working on customer projects.

Responsibilities
- Analyze current technology utilized within customer contracts and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.
- Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.
- Understand stakeholder needs and convey them to developers.
- Automate and improve development and release processes.
- Test and examine code written by others, analyze results.
- Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats.
- Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes.
- Work with software developers and engineers to ensure development follows established processes and works as intended.
- Establish milestones for contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate collaboration.
- Work closely with engineering professionals to maintain cloud infrastructure and platform services for project completion.
- Mentor and train other engineers and continually improve processes.
Requirements
- Experience in DevOps engineering for large enterprises or public sector.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of programming languages.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Clear understanding of DevOps and Agile principles.
- Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.
- Experience in AWS or Microsoft Azure Cloud platforms.
- Experience in containerised environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Experience with software engineering and customer experience.
- Experience working with cross‑department teams.
- Demonstrated project development and leadership skills.
- UK Security Clearance (SC) required.
- Azure DevOps (ADO), ARM templates, CI/CD pipelines, YAML, Git, Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, Jenkins, Azure Networking, AWS role requirements, etc.
Education & Experience
At least 3+ years in engineering, architecture, or operational role delivering cloud services. Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field.
