About the practice: At Atos, our Cyber Security practice helps organisations protect critical services, data, and infrastructure in an increasingly complex threat landscape. We provide security governance, risk management, compliance, and operational security expertise to clients across both public and private sectors. Working within a team of experienced cyber professionals, you will play a key role in ensuring security controls are effective, risks are managed, and regulatory obligations are met across complex client environments.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical national services while supporting the continuous improvement of security maturity and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the effectiveness of security controls across assigned clients, services, and business environments.
  • Manage security risks, control deficiencies, and remediation activities through to resolution.
  • Support security incident management, escalation, investigation, and reporting activities.
  • Coordinate audit, compliance, and assurance activities, including evidence collection and stakeholder engagement.
  • Drive continuous improvements in security governance, operational processes, and security performance.

Skills we can't do without:

  • Proven experience in information security, cyber security, risk management, or security operations.
  • Strong knowledge of security governance, compliance, and control frameworks including ISO 27001 and NIST Cyber Security Framework.
  • Experience managing security incidents, audits, risk registers, and remediation programmes.
  • Ability to assess security risks and translate findings into practical business actions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills.

Skills we'd like:

  • Professional certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CISMP, CCP, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor.
  • Experience supporting compliance with UK GDPR, Cyber Essentials Plus, or client-specific regulatory requirements.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance.
  • Location: UK-based. Remote working is available, with national mobility required.
