Overview
In this role you will lead IAM strategy and transformation engagements for diverse clients, shaping end-to-end identity capabilities. You will blend advisory, architecture and hands-on governance to operationalise identity services across complex environments. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive secure, auditable and scalable IAM programs. Responsibilities
- Lead IAM strategy, maturity assessments, operating model design and transformation programs for public and private sector clients
- Assess current identity capabilities and pain points, turning findings into prioritised roadmaps
- Design end-to-end identity lifecycle processes (joiner/mover/leaver, provisioning, access reviews, deprovisioning)
- Advise on Identity Governance, Access Management, authentication, federation, SSO, MFA and passwordless authentication
- Lead or support Privileged Access Management assessments, vaulting, rotation, session controls and least-privilege governance
- Apply Zero Trust principles across users, admins, apps, workloads and third parties; develop practical architectures
- Develop current-state/target-state/reference architectures, high-level designs and business cases
- Support implementation governance, onboarding, migration, testing, and service transition
- Create artefacts such as governance models, RACIs, runbooks, KPIs and continuous-improvement plans
- Act as trusted adviser to stakeholders, communicating risks and decisions clearly
- Support bids, client workshops, statements of work and repeatable IAM offerings
- Coach colleagues and grow the UK&I identity community across advisory, architecture and delivery
- Work across identity domains: lifecycle governance, privileged access, access management, Zero Trust and non-human identities
Key requirements
- Substantial experience in Identity & Access Management within consulting, SI, architecture or large enterprise BAU
- Strong understanding of end-to-end IAM lifecycle across people, processes, governance and technology
- Practical experience with at least one platform (CyberArk, Evidian, Okta, SailPoint or Microsoft Entra)
- Experience designing or governing IAM processes and controls in complex enterprises
- Good knowledge of Privileged Access Management and identity-centric Zero Trust
- Experience producing assessments, architectures, roadmaps or service-transition outputs
- Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and technical teams
- Strong written and verbal communication to translate complex concepts into practical recommendations
