You will take ownership of analysis across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery and definition through to delivery support and continuous improvement. You will be expected to analyse processes, systems, integrations, APIs, data flows and business rules, and to produce high-quality artefacts that support solution design and delivery.

You will work closely with product owners, engineers, architects, testers, delivery managers and operational stakeholders to ensure solutions are feasible, well-defined, traceable and aligned to customer, business and regulatory needs.

As a Technical Business Analyst you will:

  • Lead analysis activities across discovery, design and delivery, bringing structure and clarity to complex business and technology change.
  • Elicit, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements using appropriate techniques such as workshops, interviews, observation, document analysis and data investigation.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, business rules and supporting artefacts that are ready for technical design, build and test.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical analysis artefacts including process models, data mappings, source-to-target mappings, sequence diagrams, logical flows and traceability documentation.
  • Analyse structured and unstructured data to support solution definition, impact assessment, defect investigation and decision-making.
  • Support backlog refinement and prioritisation with Product Owners and delivery teams, ensuring requirements are clear, testable, traceable and aligned to business value.
  • Assess change impacts across systems, processes, data and teams, identifying risks, assumptions, constraints and dependencies.
  • Champion customer and colleague needs throughout analysis and delivery, ensuring solutions are practical, usable and aligned to the intended experience.
  • Collaborate effectively within agile multidisciplinary teams and contribute to continuous improvement in analysis standards, ways of working and team capability.

Technical Business Analysis experience:

  • Significant experience working as a Technical Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in complex technology delivery environments.
  • Proven ability to elicit, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements, and to produce high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting analysis artefacts.
  • API and integration analysis: Data mapping, data flows and SQL: Hands-on experience working with data mapping, data flows, with the ability to write or interpret SQL queries and understand underlying data structures.
  • Ability to produce clear, structured documentation including process models, process flows, workflow diagrams, sequence diagrams, data flows, business rules and other supporting design artefacts.
  • Proven ability to assess change impacts across processes, systems, integrations, data, teams and customers, identifying risks, assumptions, constraints and dependencies to support informed decision-making.
  • Agile delivery: Proven experience working in agile multidisciplinary teams, supporting backlog refinement, iterative delivery and collaboration across product, engineering, architecture and test.
  • Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving and the ability to manage ambiguity while maintaining pace and quality.
  • Practical experience using analysis and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Draw.

Security clearance:

  • 25 days annual paid leave plus national holidays
  • Pension scheme with contributions matched up to 10%
  • Private Medical Scheme
  • Life Assurance
  • Flexible Benefits Programme
  • Unlimited learning and development opportunities
