About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and self‑motivated finance professional to join our UK Finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing key accounts and ensuring the effective operation and governance of all accounting activities. The successful candidate will take full ownership of core financial processes, including month‑end reporting, forecasting, audit coordination, P&L management, balance sheet oversight, budgeting, investment appraisal, cost control, new business support, order entry, and working capital management.
Requirements
The successful candidate should hold or be capable of obtaining SC clearance to work with UK public sector organisations.
What You Will Do
- Lead financial governance and reporting, including ownership of financial statements, compliance with IFRS/UK legislation, month‑end processes, and working capital optimisation.
- Partner with senior stakeholders (Industry CFO, Client Executive Partner, Account Management Team, and customers) on forecasting, budgeting, invoicing, contract changes, and strategic account planning.
- Deliver financial insights through key metrics, revenue and cost analysis, and ad‑hoc reporting to support decision‑making and improve efficiency.
Skills We Can’t Do Without
- Professional accounting qualification (CCAB/CIMA), with strong accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex financial matters to both finance and non‑finance audiences.
- Effective influencing skills and the capability to prioritise workloads while managing changing or conflicting demands.
- Advanced Excel skills to support analysis and reporting.
