Role Description The IT Asset Lifecycle Manager works as part of a dedicated team on a contract providing Sellafield Ltd with IT Maintenance. They are responsible for managing the asset lifecycle for the individual components that make up the systems that we manage. The role requires:
- Ensuring accurate asset records are maintained within the CMDB and other asset management systems.
- Maintaining accurate documentation relating to the system configuration.
- Working with the customer and technical resources to ensure the right level of support is in place for each device, and that support contracts and licences are renewed on time.
- Managing asset obsolescence, including identifying and communicating the risk from an asset going obsolete.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and enforce asset management policies, standards, and procedures.
- Carry out regular audits to ensure configuration remains accurate.
- Work with stakeholders to understand customer requirements and ensure support contracts, licensing, and obsolescence options meet those requirements.
- Work as part of a larger service team to ensure SLAs are met and risks are raised and mitigated where possible.
- Drive improvements in asset lifecycle processes using Lean and ITIL principles.
There is a requirement to work onsite at the Sellafield site at least once a month to update documentation and conduct audits.
Requirements
- Experience of asset management.
- Experience working with CMDB, preferably ServiceNow.
- ITIL background.
Essential Criteria – BPSS Eligibility To be eligible for SC clearance, you must have lived and worked in the UK continuously for the past five years.
