Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop, manage, and optimise detailed project schedules using MS Project. Integrate contractor and supplier schedules into a unified master programme. Monitor progress, analyse variances, and implement timely recovery strategies. Oversee planning across initiation, design, procurement, build & test, implementation/commissioning, and handover.
- Stakeholder Management & Client Interface: Act as the primary planning liaison for the client, ensuring planning deliverables meet client standards. Lead programme plan reviews with client representatives, design partners, and contractors. Provide clear, data-driven insights to support client decision-making. Ensure transparency, consistency, and alignment across all parties.
- Reporting & Governance: Produce weekly and monthly planning reports, including progress updates, milestone performance, and critical path analysis. Maintain strict baseline control and change management discipline.
- Risk Management: Identify schedule risks, constraints, and interdependencies early. Model mitigation scenarios and communicate impacts clearly to stakeholders. Feed schedule intelligence into broader project risk registers.
- Process & Best Practice: Implement robust planning standards aligned with client expectations.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong experience in project planning and controls.
- Expert user of MS Project.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence in reporting to senior client stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Additional Requirements: Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance. Location: UK-based. Remote working is available, with national mobility required.
