A Bid Manager acts as the project leader in bids, executing the process to develop an opportunity into a won contract. He/she is responsible for delivering the full proposition to the customer within the time, budget, and resource constraints and guidance given through the Rainbow reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate & structure the bid response process and manage the bid team (financial architect, solution manager & architect, contract manager, risk manager, legal & compliance) from the beginning of the Sales pursuit until the handover to the Transition / Delivery team.
  • Analyse customer needs, RFP requirements and develop specific bid proposals:
    • Ensure the development of high-quality proposal documents and customer presentations.
    • Participation in customer presentations and negotiations.
  • Act as project leader for the administrative process of sales pursuit:
    • Manage the bid budget.
    • Ensure that all proposals adhere to the process and meet the required standards.
    • Accompany the bid through key milestones of the Rainbow review (organise meetings, prepare documents, align internal stakeholders, etc.).
    • Conduct Win workshops and win-loss review sessions.
  • Account management:
    • Collaborate with Sales/Business development teams such as Account directors/managers, CEPs and Business developers through the GTM process and Account Management process to help them identify and prioritise deals.
    • Act as an advisor during the pursuit review, especially for bid qualification (risk measurement, feasibility).
  • Customer service:
    • Work in close collaboration with client stakeholders throughout the bid process (Q&As).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in Bid management – 10-12 years, in a similar work environment.
  • Proven track record in converting sales opportunities into won contracts.
  • Experience in different types of deals – from 5 up to 50 ml.
  • Experience working in structured, deadline-driven environments.
  • Certifications related to Bid management are an advantage.
