Leads the Oracle POD, owning the Oracle database platform elements of the migration — build, configuration and the safe movement of data from the legacy Oracle estate.
Key responsibilities
- Lead build and configuration of the Oracle platform components of the target environment.
- Direct DBA engineers on migration, validation and cutover of Oracle data.
- Translate designs into operations; assure integration with the wider platform.
- Resolve Oracle platform problems and support performance/scalability testing.
- Support governance approvals and transition to BAU.
Skills We Can’t Do Without
- 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience with strong expertise in Oracle 19c and Oracle 21c.
- Proven experience in Oracle platform administration and DBA leadership.
- Strong knowledge of database migration and reconciliation.
- Experience with infrastructure integration and performance tuning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) administration.
- Must have excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation
Location
On-site 3 days/week at a base location — Benton Park View (Newcastle), Manchester Corporate Hub, or Peel Park (Blackpool); hybrid. Standard 8-hour day, Mon–Fri
To be eligible for SC clearance, you must have lived and worked in the UK continuously for the past 5 years.
