We are seeking an experienced Executive Digital Technology Consultant to join our Digital Transformation Consulting Architecture Practice. This role combines client architecture advisory, solution architecture design, and technology delivery accountability within complex digital transformation programmes. You will lead an engagement or workstreams, shape solution architectures, manage senior client relationships, and contribute to the growth and capability of the practice.

You are an inquisitive, experienced problem-solver who thrives on complex challenges and is comfortable working across different sectors and being decisive where there is ambiguity. You will combine strong consulting and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders, shape requirements, and present your recommendations and designs with clarity, credibility, and authority. You will have a personal interest in architecture development and knowledge of the latest digital technology trends and offerings.
Our Digital Transformation Consulting (DTC) business brings together a global community of consultants delivering innovative, ethical and sustainable digital solutions across public and private sectors. We operate in complex, highly regulated environments and partner with clients to modernize technology, operating models and digital capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead advisory and delivery engagements or workstreams, owning outcomes, governance and quality.
- Design solution architectures aligned to enterprise architecture principles, security standards and commercial constraints.
- Manage client relationships with both business and technical stakeholders to build trust and grow the business.
- Lead technical solution delivery through the full lifecycle, ensuring compliance with client, industry/government and organizational governance as required.
- Lead and contribute to business development, including bids, RFP responses and client presentations.
- Provide line management, coaching and mentoring to consultants within the practice.
- Develop thought leadership, value propositions and market-facing offerings.
- Proven experience designing and delivering solutions on hyperscaler platforms (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud).
- Proven experience of design solutions that encompass applications, cloud and integration architectures including microservices, APIs and event-driven systems.
- Proven experience of trade-off analysis and being able to communicate and garner agreement on a recommended option.
- Proven experience of conducting solution design reviews.
- Familiarity with TOGAF (or equivalent) and ArchiMate modelling.
- Proven experience of delivery within a secure public sector environment or other regulated industry.
- Knowledge of security architecture, standards and compliance requirements within a secure public sector environment or other regulated industry.
- Good understanding of AI concepts, architectures and integration patterns, including MLOps and data pipelines.
- Experience with containerisation, infrastructure-as-code and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong client-facing consulting skills, including workshop facilitation and hypothesis-led analysis.
- Experience delivering complex transformation programmes across waterfall and agile methods.
- Experience with resolving complex technical challenges balancing architectural purity with delivery constraints.
- Understanding of service management, ITIL and operating model design.
- Experience working within UK public sector and defence environments or other regulated industries that require solutions to be delivered in compliance with stringent regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with UK Government Digital Service (GDS), HMG Security Policy Framework and NCSC standards.
- Familiarity with UK Defence digital implementation JSP453/JSP440 standards.
- Experience with NATO Architecture Framework (NAF) and defence architectural practices.
- Knowledge of network architecture.
- Engagement and financial management.

- Clear communicator able to translate complex architecture for diverse audiences.
