The role is to help design the future of the information space. The role requires Security Clearance or ability to get SC in short timescales. It is a UK based opportunity with domestic traveling requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Work on secure, enterprise‑scale Azure environments using modern IaC and automation practices.
- High‑impact role supporting live, business‑critical services with real ownership and visibility.
- Deploy and maintain Azure cloud resources in line with agreed architectural designs and workstream requirements.
- Support and maintain all Cloud hosting environments, including incident response, support requests, access management and security impact assessments.
- Develop and maintain in‑house scripts, automation and tooling to streamline operational and support activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, service and configuration incidents across Windows, Linux, networking and core services (Active Directory, DNS, IIS).
- Contribute to continuous service improvement through CI/CD, automation and close collaboration within an Agile delivery team.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work decisively under pressure.
- Hands‑on experience deploying and managing Azure infrastructure.
- Proven expertise with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Proven expertise with configuration management using Ansible.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage credibly with customers and stakeholders.
Skills We'd Like:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation (Azure DevOps preferred).
- Knowledge of VDI technologies (AVD, RDS) and Microsoft Entra.
Experience Required:
- Strong experience in IT Infrastructure and/or Development roles.
- Demonstrable experience with Azure platform technologies, services and design principles.
- In‑depth hands‑on experience with Terraform and Ansible in production environments.
- Experience integrating and migrating customer workloads into Azure.
- Strong Windows and Linux server administration skills.
- Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating closely with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to discuss previous cloud deployments or migrations, including lessons learned.
- Experience working with third‑party cloud providers and DevOps teams to deliver seamless services.
Desirable:
- Experience with Microsoft Entra and identity modernisation.
- Experience with hybrid or multi‑cloud environments (Azure, AWS, on‑premise).
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (e.g. Kubernetes).
- Experience with scripting or programming languages and modern version‑control practices.
