At the Stockton Sixth Form College site, we are seeking to appoint a Preparing for Adulthood Coach to work with our Compass team, supporting students in the SEMH provision. You will be primarily working with Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs (SEMH).

Responsibilities

  • Work with learners to develop skills to promote independence.
  • Promote a personalised learning support approach for students with SEND and understand the EHCP process.
  • Maintain efficient and effective recording systems and work with SEND young people alongside other staff.
  • Adhere to normal working hours 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, with a 4.00 pm finish on a Friday.
  • Fulfil the duties of a fixed term role to 31st August 2027 in the first instance.

  • Experience of working with learners to develop independence and SEND/SEMH.
  • Ability to promote a personalised learning support approach for students with SEND and understanding of the EHCP process.
  • Experience of working effectively with SEND young people alongside other staff.
  • Ability to maintain efficient and effective recording systems.
