At the Stockton Sixth Form College site, we are seeking to appoint a Pastoral and Transition Assistant to work with our Compass team, supporting students in the SEMH provision. You will be primarily working with Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs (SEMH). You will be highly motivated, playing a key role in promoting emotional wellbeing, positive behaviour and successful transitions into and within education.
Responsibilities
- Support students in the SEMH provision as part of the Compass team.
- Work primarily with Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs (SEMH).
- Promote emotional wellbeing, positive behaviour and successful transitions into and within education.
- Maintain efficient and effective recording systems and documentation.
- Collaborate with other staff to support SEND young people.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Experience of working effectively with SEND young people alongside other staff.
- Ability to maintain efficient and effective recording systems.
Working hours
Normal hours of working are 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, with a 4.00 pm finish on a Friday.
