Are you an experienced SEO specialist who enjoys working across a varied portfolio of client accounts rather than focusing on one in-house website? Do you enjoy getting under the skin of websites, search behaviour, technical issues, content opportunities and commercial performance? Are you confident turning SEO insight into clear recommendations that clients can understand, value and act on? Do you enjoy working closely with developers, content teams, paid media specialists and account managers to deliver joined-up digital campaigns? Are you interested in where search is heading next, including AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other emerging discovery journeys? Do you want more ownership, more client involvement and a genuine chance to help shape how SEO is delivered inside a growing digital agency team?
Atomic is growing its digital marketing agency team, and we are looking for an SEO Executive / Senior SEO Executive to help deliver SEO strategy and performance across our client accounts. You will support SEO strategy, technical delivery, content planning, performance analysis and client communication. You will be hands-on, but you will not just be ticking tasks off a list. You will be helping clients understand where the opportunities are, what needs to happen next and how SEO contributes to visibility, leads, revenue and wider business growth. You will work closely with developers, content specialists, paid media teams and account managers, so SEO does not sit in isolation. The focus is on joined-up digital strategy, better commercial outcomes and work that actually moves clients forward.
A big part of the opportunity is where search is heading next. We are developing our approach to AI SEO and AI-led discovery, including how brands appear across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other emerging search journeys. You will help research, test and shape that methodology, giving you the chance to build future-facing SEO expertise rather than just repeat the same old playbook.
What you’ll be doing
- You will carry out technical SEO audits, on-page optimisation, keyword research, competitor analysis, content strategy, internal linking, reporting, backlink analysis and SEO opportunity reviews.
- You will use tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog and Looker Studio to turn data into clear insight and practical recommendations.
- You will support client calls, performance reviews, pitches, proposals and growth conversations, explaining SEO in a way that is clear, commercial and useful.
What we’re looking for
- You will already have strong hands-on SEO experience, ideally in an agency or multi-client environment.
- You will understand technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content strategy, analytics, WordPress and off-page SEO.
- Just as importantly, you will be confident with clients. You can explain what matters, challenge weak thinking, spot opportunities and build trust through clear communication and reliable delivery.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who is already good at SEO, but wants more influence, more variety and a bigger role in where SEO goes next.
