At Atomic, we’ve built a strong reputation for helping ambitious organisations create exceptional digital products and experiences. We’re proud of the impact we have for our clients and the quality of the work we deliver. But we know there’s an opportunity to do a much better job of telling our own story. As we continue to grow, we’re investing more deliberately in how we position Atomic in the market, build our profile, support business development, and communicate the value we bring to clients. That’s where this role comes in.

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing & Communications Manager to help shape and drive that next stage of growth. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with delivery. Someone who can develop ideas and then roll their sleeves up to make them happen, whether that’s creating content, running campaigns, supporting Client Partners, organising events and roundtables, managing communications, or helping generate meaningful commercial opportunities.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and who enjoys working closely with cross‑functional teams. Experience within an agency, consultancy, or digital product environment would be a strong fit. You’ll initially operate in a standalone marketing role, but with plenty of support from the wider business, including experienced leaders, designers, technical specialists, and client‑facing teams. This is a genuine opportunity to help shape how marketing evolves within Atomic and have a visible impact on the business.

There’s a lot of opportunity here to:

  • help define our voice and positioning
  • elevate our profile in the market
  • strengthen how we support growth across existing and new clients
  • build a modern, commercially‑minded marketing function over time

Blank canvas? In many ways, yes. But for the right person, we think that’s exactly what makes this role exciting. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy being part of, we’d love to hear from you.

What we are offering:

  • Remote & hybrid working - This position can be predominantly remote but some time (probably 1‑2 days per week) in our Nottingham office will be needed in order to be successful.
  • Flexible hours - Our contracted hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am‑5.30pm with 30 mins for lunch. But with agreement from your line manager, and subject to you working our core hours of 10am‑4pm, you are free to vary your start and finish times.
  • Profit share - Our status of being employee owned means that individually, via an Employee Ownership Trust, we each own a small part of the business. As a result we’re all extremely invested in the success of Atomic.
  • Vitality - You'll receive extensive private medical care through Vitality, providing access to private healthcare and a private GP, along with dental, hearing, optical care. Additionally, you'll enjoy perks such as discounted gym memberships, free cinema tickets, a complimentary weekly Cafe Nero and even an Apple Watch for staying active.
  • Generous annual leave entitlement - You'll receive up to 34 days leave including bank holidays and your birthday; no one should have to work on their birthday! In addition, you can buy up to 5 additional leave days (or sell up to 5 days if you prefer).
  • Personal learning and development budget - Learning is a top priority at Atomic. You’ll be given the time (1 day per two week sprint) and resources to achieve your professional learning goals.
  • Enhanced family leave policies - We offer enhanced primary and secondary parental leave and adoption leave. In addition our bereavement policy ensures that if needed, you are looked after whilst dealing with one of the biggest challenges we all face.
  • High profile client base - You’ll work on big projects for major global brands – playing a key part in producing some game‑changing ideas.
  • Learn and work with the latest tech - We constantly invest in the latest and most effective new technologies – so you’ll have the best tools to do your job.
  • A real team environment - You’ll join a friendly and supportive culture where asking for help, and getting it, is the norm.
  • Socials and events - We hold regular get‑togethers, social events and fun team activities. And our annual Christmas party is always a great evening!
  • Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme - Put a brand new EV on your driveway via our partnership with Octopus Electric Vehicles!

Please note: You will be required to undertake our screening and pre‑employment checks, which includes a criminal record (DBS) check. Any adverse check may result in an offer of employment being withdrawn. We do not hold a sponsors licence therefore you must have an existing right to work in the UK in order for us to progress your application.
