**If you’d like to be considered for this opportunity we encourage you to apply promptly to avoid disappointment as if applications are high the role will close before the closing date given.**We are looking for a P6 Proficient Planner to join our team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.**Package: £41,000 to 50,000 dependant on experience****Location:** **RG7 4PR**, located between Reading and BasingstokeAWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider **flexible working requests** so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application. Up to one day on site.**A typical day could look like this:*** Maintaining a number of P6 plans* Depending on business rhythm, supporting month end schedule health checks* Maintaining and improving schedule quality* Engaging with Project Stakeholders* Supporting schedule updates in line with the business rhythm* Creating scenario plans and preparing for change control* Producing reporting for Project Teams and Senior Leaders* Challenging logic – understanding how activities connect to each other* Driving efficiencies**We would like you to have previous experience:*** Proficient with Primavera P6 or similar platform* Interfacing with Contractors. Knowledge of NEC4, standard form of contract, is preferable.* Planning and Controls Training APMG project planning and control - or extensive other controls experience* Qualified to APMG Industry standard* At least one year working as a Planner on a large scale project**You will be responsible for:*** Creation of the Work breakdown structure, Resource loading, Project level IMS (Integrated Master Schedule), and Project-specific basis of scheduling documents.* Input into the month-end process including updating schedule progress, undertaking schedule forecasting, updating milestone status and critical path analysis, and undertaking schedule performance review including EV variance analysis.* Providing Planning input to Investment approval and Change control process, Risk and Opportunity process, and Peer reviews.* Production of Planning and EV deliverables in accordance with the appropriate procedures and guidelines.* Proposing solutions and workarounds to address schedule performance issues.* Ensuring understanding of responsibilities and demonstrating appropriate behaviours in line with the Company’s environmental, health, safety, security, quality and ethics standards.**We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate some of the following:*** Development, integration, and analysis of project plans.* Knowledge or experience of using best practice planning processes and tools.* Understanding of confidence modelling processes and techniques.* Highly developed interpersonal skills focused on achieving and maintaining effective working relationships to meet the project goals.* Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to read and interpret charts and spreadsheets.* Ability to manage priorities and work to challenging timescales.* Ability to deliver objectives on time and to high quality with minimum supervision.**We recognise that great people don’t always ‘tick every box’.
