The predicted salary is between 32000 - 48000 £ per year.
Location: Coulport, near Helensburgh (Scotland - 20 minutes north of Helensburgh)
Package: Starting from 40,000 (Dependant on experience and suitability for the role)
Working pattern: Monday - Thursday (core hours) with opportunity to increase earnings through shifts and overtime, which will include occasional weekend working and shifts over 7-days.
You will use radiation protection and dosimetry knowledge to independently support the provision of radiation protection and dosimetry advice and services to ensure that AWE and its customers remain compliant with the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017, Licence Condition 18 and other relevant legislation.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:- To support the delivery of core radiation protection and dosimetry services within assigned areas of responsibility, manage the day-to-day running of these services and ensure that associated deliverables are completed to a high standard in terms of quality and efficiencies to ensure confidence from customers and efficient ways of working for the business.
- Support the technical justification of AWE radiation protection and dosimetry practices to meet the required technical and regulatory standards.
- Complete assigned projects related to the improvement of radiation protection, health physics, radiological metrology and/or dosimetry services or technical underpinning.
- Independently support promulgation of technical developments in the field of radiation protection, health physics, radiological metrology and/or dosimetry within AWE.
- To lead by example in terms of behaviours, embracing and supporting change within the workplace.
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
- Maintenance of capabilities assigned to their area of responsibility.
- Promote and maintain effective interfaces with stakeholders throughout the company.
- Promote Right First Time quality culture.
- To identify and appropriately report all problems in delivering the programme and assist in continuous improvement activities within the local area.
- Participate in continuous professional development and technical exchanges within their field to ensure that AWE uses industry best practice so far as reasonably practicable.
- Represent AWE at national forums in applicable disciplines where applicable.
- The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work shifts (covering 24/7 and overtime including the weekends), so it's essential that you are flexible on working hours.
