The predicted salary is between 36000 - 36000 £ per year.

Location: RG7 4PR (between Reading and Basingstoke). Free onsite parking is available. By most of the time the role will be performed at the AWE Aldermaston site.

Salary: Up to £36,000 depending on skills and experience.

Working pattern: 9-day working fortnight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and modify tooling to support business deliverables.
  • Perform all processing and handling operations in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Read and control processes, ensuring no deviations from approved methods.
  • Operate machinery, hand tools, measuring equipment and cranes/slinger equipment.
  • Carry out tooling modifications and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Attend all mandatory and on-the-job training sessions.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Act as a craft operator for other tasks as directed.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a craft-disciplined apprenticeship (preferably in maintenance, toolmaking, machining and/or engineering).
  • Successful completion of a Level 3 craft-disciplined qualification (e.g. NVQ, ONC, City & Guilds).

Additional Requirements

  • British Citizen status required.
  • Minimum of 5 years UK residence for SC clearance (10 years for DV clearance); security clearance will be funded by AWE.
  • Capability to work at a classified site; limited remote work opportunities.
