Client Construction Manager responsible for delivering pre‑construction and construction delivery of projects at AWE Aldermaston. Base location between Reading and Basingstoke with free onsite parking.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, monitor and coordinate construction work in line with the project delivery strategy.
- Provide technical construction expertise and advice throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain construction management standards, procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure construction teams are appropriately organised and key personnel competent.
- Maintain construction records to support commissioning and project handover.
- Manage tasks to meet professional standards, performance and integrity of the work, and reporting information to support project and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Significant experience operating in a build environment, with a proven record of successfully planning, managing and monitoring construction work.
- Industry‑standard qualification (NVQ Level 6, HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent) aligned to the discipline/specialism.
- Excellent awareness of construction environment, safety and health regulations and legislation.
- Preferable qualifications include SMSTS, NEBOSH Construction accreditation or equivalent.
- Valid industry‑recognised safety scheme card (e.g., CSCS Manager card, CCNSG Safety Passport).
- British Citizenship and required security clearance (SC).

Location & Working Arrangements
Position based at AWE Aldermaston. Due to the classified nature of the work, remote working will be limited; majority of work will be onsite.
