Atom is an award-winning B2B publisher and content provider across multiple channels, including magazines, websites, job boards, events, digital, and video. We specialise in member publications for built environment professional bodies, creating platform-specific content to help clients communicate with their audiences.
We are looking to recruit an associate editor to work on one of our leading built environment titles and also as editor for one of our quarterly titles. Although we envisage the role being full-time, we are open to applications from candidates who would prefer to work part-time or freelance. The role is mainly home-based with occasional office meetings in central London.
Responsibilities- Create, commission, and deliver news and features via website, newsletters and magazine, working with the editorial and production team.
- Contribute to podcasts, video and social media content.
- Project manage supplements, webinars and other specialist editorial projects.
- Create partnership content for clients on an ad hoc basis, such as feature articles.
- Represent the title at industry events.
- Engage with Atom’s wider editorial, events, web development and commercial staff to discuss strategy.
- Attend company and client meetings periodically, mainly in London.
- Journalism qualification.
- At least three years’ experience as a journalist, ideally in a B2B environment.
- Knowledge/experience in creating multimedia content, working on events, and engaging with contacts/readers through social media.
- Experience in built environment journalism desirable.
