Atom Services Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic Optometrist to join our client’s team.

This position involves working between our Melton Mowbray and Oakham practices.

Our patients have high expectations for professionalism and friendly service, so we are looking for a candidate with excellent clinical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, utilizing advanced equipment such as Spectralis OCTs, Daytona Optomaps, and Goldmann applanation tonometry.
  • Perform refraction using Topcon phoropter head or trial frame and lenses.
  • Utilize the Optix practice management system, including maintaining comprehensive clinical notes.
  • Collaborate with our qualified Dispensing Opticians to ensure optimal patient care and provide guidance on dispensing.
  • Promote the importance of preventative healthcare and educate patients on regular screening procedures.
  • Offer recommendations and advice to help patients achieve their best vision and maintain optimal eye health.
  • Explore and develop special interests that align with our business’s directives.
  • Full-time position, including 3 out of 4 Saturdays. Consideration for job-share basis for two part-time clinicians.

Requirements

  • Qualified Optometrist with relevant certifications and licensure.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to provide excellent patient care.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using advanced optometric equipment and practice management systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
