Our client is a fast-growing multi sector speciality distributor of chemicals and raw materials to the UK Manufacturing Industry. They are now seeking a Maintenance Engineer - Shift. This position is site based in Redditch, Worcestershire across three sites and may require working shift patterns during weekdays where required. It is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Facilities Engineer.
Job Purpose
To support the Facilities Engineer with maintenance task administration and documentation, liaising with internal and external stakeholders on spare part sourcing and procurement, service and calibration schedules, setting the preventative maintenance calendar, operating the enterprise resource platform used for asset management, tracking key metrics and producing periodic reports, to reduce downtime and maintain efficiency and capacity of facilities and processes, via a combination of proactive and reactive approaches (Total Productive Maintenance / Troubleshooting).
The role holder will hold fundamental practical maintenance skills to assist the Facilities Engineer in periods of high demand.
