Our client is a successful adhesives manufacturer.
They are now seeking a Formulation Chemist – Construction / Adhesives / Automotive Chemicals. This position will be based at their site in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. It is a full-time permanent role and will report to their Head of R&D
Job Purpose
· My client is looking for an experienced Formulation Chemist who is looking to develop innovative products for the construction sector.
· They are looking for a practical, technically confident chemist to join their Research and Development team in their R&D Laboratory to support their range of dispersion adhesives, cement-based adhesives, grouts and levelling compounds.
· This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving, managing varied technical projects and working closely with both technical and non-technical teams to bring new and improved products to market.
Responsibilities
· Develop and optimise formulations to meet performance, cost, sustainability, health and safety, and project timeline requirements.
· Support the successful introduction of new products into manufacturing, working closely with Production, Quality, Sales, Marketing and Technical teams.
Qualifications and Experience
· Educated to BSc level or equivalent in a relevant chemistry / scientific discipline or equivalent ( or membership of the Royal Society of Chemistry)
· Looking for a candidate who has worked with adhesives / construction chemicals or automotive chemicals (automotive chemical technical knowledge can be transferred with the client's product range)
