Our client is a fast-growing multi sector speciality distributor of chemicals and raw materials to the UK Manufacturing Industry They are now seeking a Business Services / Operations Manager . This position is a hybrid role and will be part office based in Worcestershire and part home based. (3 Days in the office / 2 days at home). The role includes managing a team of 5 staff. It is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Managing Director. Job Purpose · Lead my clients' end-to-end Business Services function, ensuring that customer demand, supplier capability, inventory, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing requirements and business systems operate as one integrated service. · Enable profitable sales growth by delivering reliable order fulfilment, commercially informed purchasing, disciplined working-capital management and continual improvement. · Develop a high-performing Business Services team that provides best-in-class value to customers, Supplier Partners and colleagues while operating within my client's Quality Management System and PDCA principles. Key Responsibilities · Reliable and accurate fulfilment of customer orders from receipt through delivery and invoicing. · Purchasing decisions based on credible demand, commercial value, supply risk, shelf life and working-capital impact. · An effective operating interface between Business Services, Sales Divisions, QRESH, Finance and their Innovation and Manufacturing Services. · Clear visibility of customer commitments, supply constraints, stock risks, manufacturing requirements and service performance. ·
