Our client is an independently owned and operated company that works exclusively with clinical trial materials. The UK site provides secondary packaging (labeling and kitting) of any dosage form into plain packaging to ensure blinding of supplies for clinical trials, and storage and distribution of clinical materials for use in clinical trials.Their facility near Reading serves as the distribution hub for the packaged clinical trial materials to Europe and the rest of the world. They are now seeking a Packaging Room Supervisor to join their team. This position is a full-time permanent role based at their site near Reading, Berkshire. Job Purpose This position is responsible for Primary and Secondary Packaging Room activities, and the supervision of Packaging Room Associates. Key Areas of Responsibility · Supervision of multiple Packaging Room Associates with regards to completion of packaging room activities. · Manages day-to-day Packaging Room activities in Primary and Secondary Packaging Rooms. · Performs accountability of Drug Product, Clinical Labels and Packaging Components within each Batch Record activity. · Manual Bottle Filling. · Filling, Sealing and Inspection of blister strips, blister cards, foil pouches and vials etc. · Manual label application, assembly and inspection procedures. · May operate semi-automated packaging equipment in primary and secondary packaging rooms. · Supervises appropriate cleaning procedures required for the packaging room and any equipment. · Works directly with representatives of Operations, Quality Assurance and Project Management in resolving any discrepancies or to gain clarification. Qualifications and Experience · Computer literacy skills · Works well with others within and outside of the packaging room. · Requires a good working knowledge of all SOPs related to packaging and labelling. · Familiarity with and strict adherence to cGMP standards · Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry · Good attention to detail · Excellent communication skills, reading and writing skills and English literacy. · General mathematical skills In return our client is offering a salary of c£27,000 per annum basic plus benefits for the successful Candidate.
