Role: Junior Learning Designer – Maths & Science team. Design engaging, curriculum-aligned materials for GCSE learners in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, focusing on confidence, problem-solving and making concepts accessible.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with a team of educators to create high-quality, curriculum-aligned content for GCSE subjects aimed at a high tier.
- Design learning and assessment materials that help students master key skills and prepare confidently for exams.
- Review and edit team content to ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency with our content guidelines.
- Use a range of authoring tools to build interactive and personalised online learning experiences.
Who you are:
- Strong understanding of Maths/Science up to A-Level and confident writing across Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- Curious about how mathematics, statistics, design, technology and scientific enquiry feature in everyday life and can become attractive and relatable ideas for teenagers.
- Creative and precise, with the ability to write clear, engaging explanations and questions for secondary students.
- Collaborative and open to feedback, with a thoughtful and constructive approach to teamwork.
- Great at explaining tricky ideas in simple terms, and passionate about making maths, science and technology feel achievable for all learners.
- Always keen to learn and improve, with a growth mindset and an enthusiasm for educational impact.
Experience That Will Set You Apart:
- Experience tutoring, mentoring or developing Maths/Science content for learners aged 11-16.
- A passion for Maths/Science communication, whether through puzzle design, enrichment activities, media and outreach or clear, student-friendly writing.
- Experience using technology in education, interrogating the tools and using them critically to meet learners where they are (authoring tools, LLMs, coding and automation, etc.).
- Familiarity with GCSE exam boards and an understanding of what helps students succeed in assessments.
