Operations is the beating heart of Atom, it’s where we have the most contact with our fantastic customers and where we can ensure we’re truly offering the best possible customer service. The Operations team consists of Originations, Customer Support, Operational Effectiveness, Payments, Fraud, Reconciliations and Customer Administration.
The primary responsibility of the Banking Services Manager is to ensure that the Banking Services Operation, including the Payment, Reconciliations, Fraud and Customer Administration teams run smoothly and effectively on a day-to-day basis. Ensuring that the team are engaged and motivated and able to deliver an outstanding customer service to external and internal customers, whilst ensuring that processes and procedures are adhered to and the operation is compliant with regulations.
The Banking Services teams undertake processes that require high levels of Compliance with regulations, but are heavily reliant on manual processes, therefore it is critical that this role holder has a focus on ensuring that the risks of exposure are mitigated and that the teams operate within a controlled environment and improve efficiency by identifying and implementing automation of processes. It is key the role holder drives forward these opportunities.
As Atom develops, and delivers more transactional products, the Banking Services will grow and expand to cover card services and dispute resolution.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and develop your team to deliver outstanding service to customers and achieve key performance targets.
- Drive a culture of coaching to improve individual and team performance, ensuring all team members are well-trained and skilled.
- Manage team resources efficiently to meet demand, maintain quality, and ensure compliance.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external escalations, projects, and stakeholder relationships.
- Maintain a strong control environment by identifying and mitigating operational risks.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes to optimize efficiency and strengthen controls.

- Demonstrable experience in a Banking Operational Leadership capacity
- Demonstrable Inspirational and Transformational Leadership capabilities
- People Leadership capabilities, in particular non-directive coaching methods
