About This Role: We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Products team. At Atolls, your role will be instrumental in helping us build a data platform and data products that help multiple teams at the company create exceptional user experiences and empower consumers to make informed and confident shopping decisions. As a key part of our team, you’ll be directly involved in building and enhancing the digital destinations our users rely on throughout their shopping journeys. Your contributions will help shape how millions of consumers interact with our platforms, guiding them to make smart, fair, and rewarding choices.

Responsibilities: In this role, you will:

  • Help build our next-generation data platform, using a modern technology stack that will enable new products and analytics capabilities across the company.
  • Design, build, and own end-to-end data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver high-quality data products used both for internal analytics and to power features experienced directly by our customers.
  • Build, operate, and continuously improve the core data platform, including databases, clusters, streaming infrastructure, and other platform services, with a focus on reliability, scalability and performance.
  • Continuously improve our engineering practices by enhancing CI/CD pipelines, automating workflows, adopting modern developer tooling, and leveraging LLMs to improve developer productivity.

Your Profile: We’re looking for a Data Engineer with a strong software engineering mindset who enjoys building data platforms and is dedicated to creating exceptional user experiences and driving innovation.

Technical Skills: experience writing code in Python, strong SQL skills, and experience with cloud-based solutions on AWS or GCP.

Nice to have technical Skills: ClickHouse, Terraform, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Kafka, MySQL, dbt, Airflow.

Soft Skills: we are looking for a collaborative engineer who enjoys working closely with teammates, who proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and helps drive them to completion, with the ability to explain technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
