We're hiring a Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Manager to take full ownership of inventory forecasting, replenishment, purchasing, and warehouse allocation — and to build a world-class inventory engine that improves replenishment precision, keeps our hero products consistently in stock, and drives leaner, more efficient inventory decisions.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role. You will own the planning engine that determines how we balance availability and inventory efficiency as we scale.

This is not an admin purchasing role.

We're looking for a sharp, proactive operator — someone who can build systems, drive execution, and make high-quality inventory decisions at scale.

This role is UK/Europe-based and remote, which puts you in the ideal window to run a global supply chain: your morning overlaps our manufacturing partners in Asia, and your afternoon overlaps our US warehouse and marketplace operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Forecasting & Replenishment Ownership
• Own inventory forecasting and replenishment planning inside Inventory Planner (our inventory forecasting & planning software)
• Re-forecast weekly, not monthly — refresh demand, coverage and reorder decisions on a weekly cycle so we act on trends inside the month rather than reacting after them
• Monitor sales velocity, demand trends, lead times, MOQs, and seasonality to drive accurate order sizing
• Improve forecast accuracy over time by validating assumptions, reviewing forecast errors, and implementing structured overrides
• Forecast and plan recurring subscription products, where a rolling monthly assortment calendar drives committed volumes ahead of each drop
• Maintain high in-stock performance on hero products while improving overall inventory efficiency
• Component & Bill-of-Materials Planning
• Plan personalised and made-to-order products at component level, not finished-goods level — ring bases and stones, letter and initial charms, birthstones, chains and clasps
• Build demand curves for individual components (letter frequency, ring size curves, birthstone mix) and reorder against component coverage, not product coverage
• Treat component stockouts as first-class risks: a single missing stone or size halts an entire made-to-order line
• Purchasing, PO Execution & Supplier Follow-Through
• Convert forecasts into clear PO quantities by SKU and vendor
• Own the purchasing workflow end-to-end: supplier coordination, confirmations, production timelines, updates, and follow-ups
• Hold full visibility on every open PO: track each against its committed date, verify production status directly with the supplier, and flag slippage early rather than at the point of impact
• Negotiate unit costs, discounts and terms with manufacturing partners where volume or timing gives us leverage
• Maintain a clean production + inbound calendar with projected receiving dates and shipment milestones
• Identify risks early (delays, MOQ constraints, slow movers) and proactively drive solutions
• Multi-Warehouse Allocation, Amazon FBA & Freight
• Manage inventory allocation across multiple warehouses to optimize availability, speed, and working capital
• Own Amazon FBA inbound end-to-end: shipment creation and booking, prep and labelling compliance, inbound scheduling, and replenishment against FBA sell-through
• Define and maintain regional assortment strategies, and continuously evaluate which products require regional stocking vs centralized fulfillment
• Plan and execute stock transfers accurately and on schedule; ensure warehouse rules stay correct (lead times, transfer logic, replenishment settings)
• Support freight decisions (sea vs air) based on urgency, cost, and demand planning, and coordinate with freight partners to keep shipments on schedule
• Packaging & Consumables Planning
• Forecast and replenish packaging and consumables alongside product — boxes, mailers, pouches, leaflets, inserts and gift packaging
• Plan these against the same demand curve as jewelry, accounting for their longer lead times, higher MOQs and heavier freight profile
• New Product Launch Stock Readiness
• Own stock readiness for every product launch and collection drop: stock received, counted, allocated and live in Shopify ahead of launch, not on the day
• Ensure inventory is accurately reflected before VIP early access and public launch, with oversell settings configured correctly
• Inventory Data Accuracy & Systems Hygiene
• Keep Shopify, Inventory Planner and our 3PL systems in agreement; own reconciliation as a standing weekly task, not a periodic clean-up
• Investigate and resolve negative stock, sync failures, and quantity mismatches at source
• Maintain planning hygiene: non-replenishable and discontinued lists, held or delisted product, quality-hold stock, and clean vendor and SKU planning attributes
• Stock Health, Efficiency & Discontinuation Discipline
• Identify and act on overstock risk, slow movers, dead stock, and discontinuation candidates
• Recommend actions such as stop-reorders, controlled discounting/bundles, liquidation, and retirement timelines
• Build repeatable decision rules and thresholds so inventory discipline becomes systematic, not reactive
• Weekly Cadence & Reporting
• Run a weekly inventory health and replenishment decision loop, ensuring hero SKUs stay consistently in-stock while maintaining lean, disciplined inventory levels
• Monitor inventory performance daily (sales velocity, inbound status, stock coverage, risk signals) and escalate issues early
• Deliver a monthly executive summary on inventory performance, key risks, and planning improvements
• Key Qualifications & Success Traits
• 5+ years experience in inventory planning, demand planning, or supply chain planning
• Experience forecasting + purchasing for a multi-SKU consumer brand (ideally DTC/e Commerce)
• Strong fluency with inventory planning systems (Inventory Planner or similar tools like Net Suite, Anaplan, Cin7, etc.) and the ability to ramp into Inventory Planner fast
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (you can model, audit, and validate forecasts independently)
• Comfortable operating inside Shopify (SKUs, variants, inventory levels, sales trends, product catalog structure)
• Experience planning at component/BOM level for configurable, personalised or made-to-order products
• Hands-on experience creating and booking Amazon FBA inbound shipments
• Highly proactive — you push work forward, anticipate risks early, and don't require follow-ups to deliver
• Fast-moving — you solve problems quickly and efficiently rather than parking them.
