My clients are a very well-established principal contractor operating from their offices in Southampton. They are one of the leading principal contractors for mezzanine floor installations and commercial and industrial premises fit outs in the UK. Specialising in helping businesses to get the very best out of their premises, they are experts in space planning for office and storage environments to help their clients achieve a comfortable, safe and highly efficient working space.
The Candidate
You will ideally have a number of years previous experience of working for a principal contractor as a Contracts Manager or maybe Site Manager looking for the next step up, with a varied portfolio of projects that you have been involved in previously, ideally encompassing mezzanine floor projects along with refurbishment / fit-out projects. You will be diligent, computer literate, confident and have the ability to lead site teams. You will have a confident approach to your work and be able to get on with people from all walks of life and be pro-active in your outlook.
The Role
As a Contracts Manager you will take delivery and responsibility for a number of projects ranging in values and type, your time will be split between site and the head office as required and you will report in to the Directors of the business. Responsibilities will include taking projects from initial enquiry through to completion and client handover including managing site teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
