Project Engineer Didsbury, Manchester Full Time Salary – £28,000 The Company Atmos International is a highly successful worldwide engineering technology and service supplier to blue-chip companies in the oil, gas, aviation, water and chemical industries. Our innovative technology includes pipeline leak and theft detection, hydraulic simulation, pig tracking, batch tracking, optimization, and gas management systems. The Role The role would suit an experienced engineer or a graduate who is looking for an exciting opportunity in software engineering and wants to join a great team in a fast-growing technology company. As a Project Engineer you will be involved in the whole life cycle of projects, from the initial design stage right through to installation, commissioning and ongoing support. Key Accountabilities include: Reporting to a Project Manager, the Project Engineer has the following responsibilities: · Preparation of quality plans to identify the nature and frequency of project/design reviews, and milestones for delivery. · Preparation of Functional Design Specification. · Developing and adapting the application software and hardware to the customer’s gas and liquid pipelines. · Performing Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests. · Installing, tuning and commissioning the company’s software and supervision of hardware installation at Client sites in different countries. · Providing training to Client personnel. · Conducting on-site service visits. · Providing support to the clients for the real-time application software. Key Skills/Experience · Bachelor or higher degree in Engineering or Physics · Excellent computer skills · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills · Good oral and written communication skills · Keen to work with both physical hardware (in the office and on-site) and software applications · Experience of pipeline/process simulation, hydraulic analysis, pipeline engineering or instrumentation/control systems would be an advantage but not required · Good knowledge of computer networking using DCOM or OPC would be an advantage If you are a highly motivated engineer with an interest in pipeline or process simulation and application, then this could be the role for you.
