JOB PURPOSE:
Working within the IT Department for the Senior Director, IT & Business Systems you will be responsible for project managing multiple IT related projects and transitioning projects into live operations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Project Delivery: Devise and manage technical project plan for allocated projects. Provide technical project management for those projects. Liaise with all project resources, internal and external, for delivery of the project and tracking of activities. Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver the projects. Involve IT Operations and IT Service Transition Team at relevant time on the project to ensure a smooth transition to live operation. Report on Project progress to peers and management. Run ad-hoc IT Projects to implement new software and systems.
- Service Transition: Design and implement the Service Management / ITIL processes related to Service Transition that are to be used in the AtlasEdge IT Service Organisation. Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to implement and improve these processes into the ITSM platform. Ensure that new services transition into production smoothly and can be operated in a way that is consistent with agreed service levels and agreed operational costs. Manage the quality and implementation of changes to production services, through release management methodologies and governance of change control. Manage risks related to new, changed or retired services. Ensure the service change creates expected business value. Liaise with internal Project Managers to gather information to be able to support the services in live operation and hand this over to the IT support teams.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
PREFERRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: IT or Project Management qualifications. Demonstrable experience delivering IT projects to a high standard. ITIL Foundation Certificate or ITIL experience.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Essential: Experience working in an IT Service Organisation. Experience designing and implementing service management processes. E.g. Service Design, Service Transition. Demonstrable experience planning and delivering IT projects. Experience of dealing with multiple vendors and stakeholders to deliver IT projects. Experience as a Project/Programme Manager. Experience as a Service Transition Manager. Highly Organised. Works under own direction.
- Desirable: Experience of ITIL / IT Operations. UK or NL Based. Second language preferred. Data Center experience.
