Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator will be part of a payroll team responsible for paying 10,500 employees each month. The role would suit someone who has previously worked in a high volume or FM payroll environment.

What you'll be doing?

  • Inputting changes to the payroll system: rate changes, department changes, tax codes, third party payments etc.
  • Calculating hours worked from time and attendance reports and importing to the payroll system.
  • Checking entitlement for holiday pay.
  • Processing all payment information to ensure timely payments to employees.
  • Sending electronic payslips, P45s, etc.
  • Maintaining payroll records for benefits & pension purposes and administering changes where necessary.
  • Dealing with general pay and tax queries.
  • Liaising with other areas of the business to ensure accuracy.

  • Previous Payroll Experience: You bring with you valuable experience in a similar role, equipped to manage the payroll cycle from start to finish with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Payroll Processes: With a solid understanding of PAYE and NICs, you excel in inputting changes to the payroll system and calculating hours worked, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
  • Excel Proficiency: Your proficiency in Excel is essential, allowing you to manage large volumes of payroll data and maintain meticulous records with ease.
  • Organisational Skills: Working under tight deadlines is second nature to you, as you navigate multiple tasks with precision and attention to detail.
