Mechanical Engineer – Static Site Role

Atlas Workplace Services has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at a key client site near Oxford. This is a static role, ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance and compliance services.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

As part of a dedicated on-site engineering team, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance tasks across a wide range of mechanical systems 🛠️
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with contract Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and compliance standards 📋
  • Supporting the delivery of compliance PPM, including L8 water hygiene tasks where applicable 💧
  • Providing accurate time and material estimates for minor works and assisting with quoting 📐
  • Collaborating with Account Support, Supervisors, and Sub-Contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery 🤝
  • Keeping the Planon CAFM system updated via your issued device and ensuring all time is accurately recorded 📱
  • Taking ownership of your work and contributing to a culture of 100% customer satisfaction 🌟
  • Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota as required 📞

About You

🧠 What We’re Looking For

  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical discipline
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar mechanical services role
  • Experience working in a customer-facing environment
  • Strong understanding of building services and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and L8 compliance
  • Comfortable using CAFM systems (Planon preferred) and Android tablets
  • Ability to work in heavily permitted environments with a strong focus on health & safety
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Desirable: Legionella (L8) training, IOSH Working Safely or equivalent
