Atlas Workplace Services have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team near Oxford. This is a static based role working from our client's site. As part of a static engineering team, you will be required to assist in the efficient delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance tasks. You will need to deliver a wide range of statutory and routine PPMs as well as Reactive Maintenance activities that will require completion in-line with specific contract Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

This role is for a Mechanical Engineer who is competent to deliver high quality planned maintenance and reactive repairs across multiple disciplines, with particular attention being given to working in the delivery of compliance PPM.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Atlas engineering standards and associated competencies are consistently delivered and demonstrated.
  • Deliver Mechanical services PPM, reactive works and other compliance tasks.
  • Ensure that the Client, colleagues and the Atlas Team are kept in the loop through feedback and regular updates.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a quality service, aiming for 100% satisfaction of the Customer.
  • Ensure best value for money to the Customer by ensuring accuracy within the Team by checking resource and materials are suitable to effectively deliver the service.
  • Produce details of time and materials required for any minor works, for quoting purposes.
  • Report on performance to your Engineering Supervisor.
  • Ensure the safe delivery of all Atlas works, including those of our service partners.
  • Liaise with Account Support colleagues, Schedulers, Supervisor, and Sub-Contractors to deliver work to the highest standard within contract SLAs.
  • Build and foster relationships with the Client, colleagues and other Atlas colleagues.
  • Ensure that the Planon CAFM system is constantly updated, via your issued device, and that all time is accounted for on the generated work order timesheet.
  • Take personal ownership of the standard of work you deliver - ensuring exceptional service to the customer.
  • Carry out all reasonable requests as directed by Atlas management.
  • Cover all call-out responsibilities out-of-hours when on a roster.
Minimum Qualifications, Certifications and Training required
  • GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline.
  • Legionella (L8) trained and competent (Desirable).
  • Accredited Health & Safety qualification i.e. IOSH Working Safely or equivalent (Desirable).
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience for this role
  • 2 years previous experience within similar environment involved in mechanical services delivery.
  • 1 years experience in a customer facing environment.
  • Background in engineering/property maintenance.
  • Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades and ability to turn hand to most activities within a building maintenance environment.
  • Knowledge and experience operating and adjusting Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Experience in delivering L8 compliance maintenance.
  • Experience in delivering fire door compliance maintenance.
  • Experience in delivering emergency light test PPMs.
  • Good understanding of modern office software.
  • Experience of working with asset/work management systems such as Planon CAFM system on Android tablets.
  • Experience working with permits and completing tasks in heavily permitted working environments where compliance to H&S site rules and management systems are paramount.
  • Ability to manage priorities in line with business needs.
