Atlas Workplace Services is looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our on-site engineering team at Brindley Place, Birmingham. This static role offers the opportunity to work within a prestigious commercial environment, delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a wide range of building services systems. While your primary discipline will be air conditioning and refrigeration, you'll also support general building services maintenance to ensure the highest levels of operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Working closely with the wider engineering team, you will ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual service level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
  • Diagnose faults and undertake repairs across a range of HVAC equipment.
  • Support the delivery of minor works and building services maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, compliantly, and to a high standard.
  • Maintain regular communication with colleagues, contractors, and client representatives.
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers and the wider engineering team.
  • Contribute to achieving exceptional customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery.
  • Accurately record all works completed using the Maximo CAFM system and ensure timesheets are maintained correctly.
  • Produce details of labour and materials for minor works quotations where required.
  • Liaise with supervisors, managers, support teams, and specialist subcontractors to ensure works are delivered efficiently and within SLA requirements.
  • Take ownership of the quality of work delivered and continuously seek opportunities to improve service standards.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota as required.

Minimum Qualifications, Certifications and Training required

  • Qualified Air Conditioning Engineer
  • NVQ level 2 in given trade
  • C&G 2079 F-Gas Cat1

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Good understanding of modern office software.
  • Experience of working with asset/work management systems such as MAXIMO / CAFM systems on Android tablets.
  • Strong, demonstrable competencies of dealing with all makes of A/C split units, as well as VRV/VRF systems.
  • 2 years previous experience within similar environment and in particular across area multi sites and multi discipline service delivery.
  • 1 years experience in customer facing outsourcing environment.
