Electrical Engineer
Liverpool | Full Time (40 hours per week) | Up to £38,000 per annum
About the Role
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join Atlas Workplace Services in Liverpool, delivering a high‑quality maintenance service across a static site.
You will play a key role in ensuring all electrical systems are maintained in line with statutory requirements, while building great relationships with clients and colleagues.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering electrical PPM and reactive maintenance in line with SLAs
- Completing minor electrical works and supporting improvements on site
- Ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations and safety standards
- Providing clear updates and keeping customers and stakeholders informed
- Offering technical advice and guidance to customers and team members
- Taking full ownership of the site, delivering an exceptional service
- Reporting performance and updates to your Contract Manager
- Ensuring materials and resources are used efficiently for best value
- Liaising with subcontractors and internal teams to meet deadlines
- Accurately logging work through the Maximo system
- Producing time and material estimates for quoted works
- Participating in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota when required
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with proven experience delivering both planned preventative maintenance and reactive works.
You will be confident in fault‑finding, able to work independently, and comfortable taking full ownership of your site.
Strong communication is key in this role, as you will be expected to keep customers, colleagues and stakeholders informed at all times.
A proactive, customer‑focused mindset is essential, alongside solid knowledge of health and safety and relevant electrical qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications, Certifications & Training
- City & Guilds or equivalent electrical qualification
- City & Guilds BS Edition Wiring Regulations
- City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspect Electrical qualification (or equivalent)
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience working in a similar electrical maintenance environment
- Exposure to multi‑site operations and multi‑discipline service delivery
- Experience within a customer‑facing outsourcing environment
- Background in mobile engineering or property maintenance
- Comfortable using modern office software
- Experience using asset/work management systems such as MAXIMO or CAFM on tablet devices
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Proactive approach with a focus on delivering high‑quality service
