Position Overview: Full-Time, In Office (paid internship program). The 90‑day program is designed to train individuals for a career in the IT/MSP space, providing hands‑on experience, training, and mentorship. Successful participants graduate to become full‑fledged Interns and may be evaluated again in 3–6 months for consideration to promote to a Junior Systems Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of basic IT services to clients.
- Learn and apply industry best practices and methodologies.
- Provide support to clients, both remotely and on‑site, as needed.
- Apply troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve IT issues.
- Use a ticketing system to manage support queries.
Core Criteria for Successful Completion:
- Positive feedback from trainers, co‑workers, and clients.
- Demonstrate ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Show strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong desire to learn and grow in the IT/MSP space.
- Some experience with IT support (6 months to a year) or an A+ certification.
- Ability to deliver great customer service (communicating clearly, managing expectations, following up).
Physical Requirements:
The candidate must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs, stand/sit for extended periods, push/pull, climb stairs, stoop, kneel or crouch, use fingers/hands to handle or feel, reach above head or below knee level, and work around machinery and material handling equipment.
Desirable Qualities:
- Familiarity with Managed Service Provider operations.
- Familiarity with Windows 10 and Office 365.
- Experience with basic TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP.
- Experience with Windows Server 2016 or higher.
- Ability to intuitively troubleshoot and have good problem‑solving skills.
