Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Isle of Wight
Salary: £50k DOE + overtime

My clients Mechanical CAD Team provide Mechanical Computer Aided Design Services to the entire portfolio of high-tech, market leading products.
What you'll be doing – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
- Using CAD software to create 2D and 3D solid modelled designs, for a wide range of products from small components to large complex sub-systems
- Developing conceptual designs for products, sub-systems and units
- Manage the engineering/manufacturing interface
- Oversee the various production/assembly practices associated with the manufacturing equipment
- As the designs progress through the manufacturing, test, delivery and support lifecycle, the role holder will manage the Engineering Change for their area of responsibility
Your skills and experiences Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
- Currently working in a Senior Designer role or at that level with proven experience
- Expert in the use of 2D and 3D CAD design tools, preferably Siemens NX
- Experience of design for manufacture and design for maintainability
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
