Mechanical Technician – Starting salary of £37k+ depending on experience, based in Coningsby, Lincolnshire. Shift work, alternating days and nights – Mon -Thurs. Pension & Enhanced Leave allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays available.

Required experience:

  • Proven experience including Type or Typhoon Q course, classed as fully competent with all required 'Authorities' in place
  • Previous supervisory experience in a similar role required
  • Demonstrating breadth of systems experience, currency & recency via a Log Book (electronic or paper) capturing skills, knowledge and authorities for working on Aircraft or in workshops
  • Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering, or Military equivalent apprenticeship / qualifications
  • Academic qualification for this role is a minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent
  • Aircraft platform training (on a/c requirement)

My client is a large and rapidly expanding global Defence company looking for a Mechanical Technician to be based within TMF and involve working in conjunction with the RAF in performing the Maintenance, Repair, and Upgrade activities to meet the requirements of the UK Typhoon fleet. You will be working on cutting edge technology supporting the Typhoon fleet around the world and working directly on the Aircraft alongside RAF.
