Salary: £50k DOE + overtime
The Mechanical CAD team provides Mechanical Computer Aided Design Services to the entire portfolio of high-tech, market leading products.
What you'll be doing:
- Using CAD software to create 2D and 3D solid modelled designs, for a wide range of products from small components to large complex sub-systems.
- Developing conceptual designs for products, sub-systems and units.
- Manage the engineering/manufacturing interface.
- Oversee the various production/assembly practices associated with the manufacturing equipment.
- Manage the Engineering Change for their area of responsibility as the designs progress through the manufacturing, test, delivery and support lifecycle.
Your skills and experiences:
- Currently working in a Senior Designer role or at that level with proven experience.
- Expert in the use of 2D and 3D CAD design tools, preferably Siemens NX.
- Experience of design for manufacture and design for maintainability.
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
