Group HSE Officer
Location: Dartford, Kent – Hybrid
Salary : £45k DOE
Purpose of role – Group HSE Officer
To provide Health and Safety (environmental) expertise and advice to the whole organisation on how to protect the health, safety and welfare of employees in the workplace, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. Adherence to ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management.
What you’ll be doing – Group HSE Officer
- Serve as the subject matter expert, being the accountable and responsible safety person, advising the organisation on how to be compliant with the relevant regulations
- Conduct regular checks for: fire alarm testing and evacuation procedures, emergency lighting, fire extinguisher and fire exit doors, legionella water temperature
- Conduct investigations into safety incidents
- Formulate, develop and review policies, procedures and other guidance necessary to ensure compliance
- Support the review of contractor RAMS and Risk Assessment statements, and take responsibility for the COSHH register
Your skills and experiences – Group HSE Officer
- Must have a relevant, up to date qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH either certificate or diploma, IOSH, or equivalent).
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, electronics or electrical environment
- Knowledge of Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and accident investigation.
- Working knowledge of PUWER
- Continuous Improvement experience
