Principal Engineer / Technical Authority – Stress, Shock and Dynamics Salary: £60k + overtime Location: Filton, Frimley, Weymouth, Coventry, Barrow – Hybrid What you’ll be doing – Principal Engineer – Stress, Shock and Dynamics Reviewing, approving and quantifying policies, general technical requirements, data & documents Working with and reviewing documentation generated by the Combat Systems engineering teams Reviewing, developing and approving supplier submitted physical test plans and procedures Review and acceptance of supplier Shock and EGV qualification evidence encompassing classical manual stress calculations, Finite Element Analysis reports and physical test reports Your skills and experiences – Principal Engineer – Stress, Shock and Dynamics Structural engineering and analysis techniques specifically classical manual stress calculations and various Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques Mathcad, Mathematica or similar Experience of the development and management of technical requirements and acceptance activities within one of the following areas: submarine, defence, construction, ships, maritime or similar environment All successful Principal Engineer – Stress, Shock and Dynamics applicants will b contacted within 2 days of application
